Welcome to the Law Offices of Stacy A. Eckert. Mr. Eckert provides his clients with personalized service and attention in cases involving bankruptcy, estate planning and probate, foreclosure defense, corporate and business law along evictions and other real estate disputes. As a 25-year resident of Volusia County, he has dedicated his career to providing his clients with caring and competent service while keeping them informed and up-to-date on the processes involved with their cases. He represents clients living in the Florida counties of Volusia, Lake, Flagler and Seminole. Over the years, Mr. Eckert has filed over 1,000 bankruptcy cases, both personal and business. He has handled and defended against hundreds of lawsuits on behalf of clients including actions to collect debts, foreclosures, repossessions, garnishments, evictions, contracts and leases.

Stacy Eckert was born and raised in Northwestern Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Navy after high school and served six years as a Hospital Corpsman (a medic). In 1984, upon finishing his tour of duty with the Navy, Mr. Eckert moved to Florida and completed his undergraduate college education at Florida International University in Miami. Upon graduation from college he moved to West Volusia County and attained a position teaching high school Economics, American Government and World History at Father Lopez High School in Daytona Beach.

Mr. Eckert has always had an interest in the law and its applications and decided to make a career change and attend the University of Florida Law School. While attending law school, Mr. Eckert worked as a law clerk for a Gainesville law firm assisting its attorneys in debt collection and civil litigation cases. He graduated from law school in the top third of his class.

In 1993, Mr. Eckert returned to West Volusia County and began work as an associate for a small local law firm. In 1995, Mr. Eckert started a solo practice in Orange City, Florida, later expanding his practice to a branch office in Daytona Beach, Florida. Besides a full-time law practice, Mr. Eckert is the current president of Community Legal of Mid-Florida, Inc., a non-profit law firm that provides free legal services to low-income clients in twelve Central Florida counties. He has served in some capacity on its Board of Directors and its predecessor corporations for the past twelve years. Mr. Eckert was a member and former president of the Kiwanis Club of Deltona and he has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Daytona State College.
